Spring migration in on! We are once again compiling the arrival dates for each migrating bird species in the area. If you live within approximately 100km from Timmins, share your first-of-year bird sightings!

This year will be the 8th year of collecting spring arrival dates. You can view the arrival dates from 2017 to 2022 here: Timmins Birds Arrival Dates Sheet 2017 to 2022 and scroll down for 2023.

How to share your first-of-year bird sightings:
  1. Submit your checklist to eBird (if you'd like to learn how, contact me)
  2. Send me a private message through this blog contact form, or comment below.
  3. Share your sightings on the Timmins/South Porcupine Birding Facebook Group.

THANK YOU!

❆❆❆ = A decent number of individuals of this species overwinter in the area each year. Date represents a higher number of these reported by many observers (ex: American Crows, European Starlings)

❆ = One or two individuals of this species overwintered in the area.
